What is The Groups Database, Masters, and Conditions?

The Groups Database is a key component within The EDGE and contains Master Lists of Conditions. Each Master List can have one or multiple Conditions.

• Groups Database: A central repository in The EDGE for storing Master Lists and Conditions.
• Condition: The programed part of The EDGE that walks you through a roofing detail, typically many item selections involved but could be a single item, such as a gutter or roof hatch.
• Master List: A comprehensive list of Conditions related to a specific roofing system or general aspect of roofing. e.g., sheet metal.
  • Each Master can include single or multiple Conditions.
  • The benefit of a Master List is that it offers all necessary materials and labor for the roof estimation. This simplifies the process for estimators by allowing them to select all Conditions with just a few clicks, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
  • Examples: A Master List might include Conditions for a Manufacturers Mechanically Attached TPO, such as tapered crickets, wall flashing, curb flashing and pitch pan.
