EDGE College is a two-day group class designed for users of The EDGE®. It’s a best fit for those that are comfortable completing an estimate, want to hear tips and tricks and learn the features that users use the most! Our classes are deliberately small so you can receive individual attention from our expert instructors to help you succeed.
Interior Trades (Drywall and Acoustical Applications)

In this class, we’ll cover:

  • 6 Steps of an Estimate — tips and tricks to the six basic steps required to create an interior estimate
  • Favorite User Features of The EDGE:
    • Vendor Quote — used to request pricing from vendors/distributors through a secure electronic request
    • Zones — a powerful feature that lets you get items like a material list for a specific area
    • Image Manager — deep dive into how to use and organize all digital plan drawings
    • Project Conditions and Common Conditions — dramatically speed up setup and takeoff time with these two features
    • ADMIN Portal — learn how to view change order reports, manage users and create role-based permissions.
      • During this session you’ll also see best practices for database maintenance, cloud reporting and more!

Roofing

In this class, we’ll cover:

  • 6 Steps of an Estimate — tips and tricks to the six basic steps required to create a roofing estimate
  • Favorite User Features of The EDGE:
    • Vendor Quote — used to request pricing from vendors/distributors through a secure electronic request. We’ll also explore how to use the Beacon Pro+ button
    • Zones — a powerful feature that lets you get items like a material list for a specific area
    • Image Manager — deep dive into how to use and organize all digital plan drawings
    • Sloped Roofing — learn how to measure and price
    • Standard Seam Layout — get a complete picture of the roof materials you need plus a cut list for the field
    • Tapered Insulation — Get an accurate fastener count without calculating by hand or waiting for the supplier to provide a material list
    • ADMIN Portal — learn how to view change order reports, manage users and create role-based permissions.
      • During this session you’ll also see best practices for database maintenance, cloud reporting and more!

Fireproofing

In this class, we’ll focus on:

  • 7 Steps of an Estimate — tips and tricks to the seven basic steps required to create a fireproofing estimate
  • Favorite User Features of The EDGE:
    • Fireproofing Databases — how to add or modify surfaces and Fire Tests
    • Fireproofing Reports — how to make thickness colors more consistent for different bids
    • Zones — a powerful feature that lets you get items like a material list for a specific area
    • Image Manager — deep dive into how to use and organize all digital plan drawings
    • Project Conditions — dramatically speed up setup and takeoff times with this shortcut
    • ADMIN Portal — learn how to view change order reports, manage users, and create role-based permissions
      • During this session you’ll also see best practices for database maintenance, cloud reporting and more!

Who Should Attend? Users of The EDGE who are comfortable completing an estimate in The EDGE. This is an intermediate training course.

    Foundation Software Event Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations made 30 days prior to the event date will be refunded in full. Cancellations made between 3 and 30 days in advance will receive a 50% refund of registration fees paid. Cancellations made between 3 days and the event start date will not receive a refund. Cancellations should be made via CVENT by returning to the original registration confirmation or can be requested by emailing the Events Team at events@foundationsoft.com.
