To maximize the learning experience for attendees, all participants must follow these very specific technology instructions and must complete a tech install with our Foundation Software IT team before attending. During the tech call, our IT technician will confirm hardware and software requirements and will install a local, test database on your device. You’ll use this database to practice during the training.
Tech install appointments will take place after Labor Day until the beginning of October.
When you register for the class, a Foundation Tech will install an instance of SQL server and a classroom database for use during the conference. Make sure to bring the laptop that has the Foundation SQL server and database installed on it. We use the same classroom data set for training to remove the potential of troubleshooting 100 different data sets should an attendee have an issue.
That said, if your database is in the SaaS / hosted environment, we can establish a connection to your cloud database and allow you to practice retrieving and reporting information from your live data.

The class moves at a brisk pace – attendees should be comfortable with the functionality, use and creation of these items and formulas in advance of the class.

Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is just 10 minutes from the Tempe Mission Palms hotel. Guests may utilize a taxi, Uber or Lyft to travel to the hotel or can take advantage of the complimentary hotel shuttle.
The hotel shuttle runs between 5:30am-10pm. Once you’ve arrived at PHX and have retrieved your checked baggage, call the Tempe Mission Palms operator at 480.894.1400, share which terminal you’re in, and follow the additional prompts. Tempe Mission Palms shuttles are white, have the hotel logo on them and should arrive at the airport within minutes of your call.
Once onsite at the hotel, many food and entertainment options are within walking distance.
Complimentary valet service or self-parking is available in any of the spaces surrounding the hotel, by obtaining a parking pass during check-in.

The class will run from 8am-5pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – featuring 3 full days of advanced training and content with Senior Consultant Scott Kern. Plus, be sure to join us for the Welcome Reception on Monday evening from 5–8pm.
Check-in will take place Monday, October 24th between 6:30–8am inside the Palm Ballroom Foyer. Breakfast will also be available during this time. Class will start promptly at 8am Monday morning.

The Tempe Mission Palms hotel has many flexible indoor-outdoor spaces. Guests will walk through an open-air courtyard when traveling to the Palm Ballroom, onsite dining facilities or guest rooms. Plus, our Monday evening reception is scheduled to take place outdoors, weather permitting.
Temperatures in Tempe average between 68-82 degrees in October. Dressing in layers is recommended – especially when transitioning between air-conditioned indoor spaces and warmer outdoor spaces.
Attendees are also encouraged to dress casually and comfortably.
